Vun Horustus is now one of my all-time favourite character designs holy SHIT

Pretty much everything I don't like about STA.
Watched a few of these, none of them were really worthwhile. It's rare a storytime channel tells a story that's actually interesting and something new you've probably never heard of before. Just wanna hear something cooler than "I went to work and worked" or whatever.
Also I legit hope this dude isn't as obnoxious as he presents himself in his videos. The fact he shouts every line doesn't help at all.

but who cares the guy has 1mil subs he's clearly found his crowd lo

Animation is pretty sweet, but just feels like yet another Eddsworld clone and I'm tired of these. They basically just use designs taken from Eddsworld, slightly modify them, and call them their own characters. The red hoodie dude with the band aid is just Tord. Is that actually supposed to be Tord or is it a different character?
Not to mention the TV getting mad at someone responding sarcastically to its rhetorical questions is just ripped off from Fun Dead. Be inspired, but try and make it your own, man.

It's not terrible. But 4th place? What?

Really starting to love cas' recap series. Never feels repetitive, like he's just regurgitating the same jokes in every single cartoon. They feel different, even if the premise is the same. Personally, I loved how some of the jokes from the film are adapted into having their own punchline. It's just so good.

Also a silly recap cartoon has no right looking this fantastic. The animation quality is brilliant.

Holds up 4 years later. Finales are tricky to pull off, so it's all the more impressive that everyone involved managed to do it with such finesse. Ideas like Tord's return and re-doing past adventures is perfect for a finale episode. It's like when they travelled back to pivotal MCU moments in Avengers: Endgame for that sweet (and appropriate) fan service.

I guess the tone shift is also assisted by the ever-changing animation styles. It's a really lovely way to fulfill Edd's wish for a potential finale, and as a bonus, the audience gets to see a variety of different styles. Each artist adds their own little details, it's fun to re-watch The End just to pause it and take in all the easter eggs visible every few seconds. Also, as a side note, drawing the flashback scene in Edd's 2008 style is great.

Plus if I'm gonna mention visuals then the jokes also get a shoutout. Some of the funniest visual gags are to be found in this one. My favourite of them all has to be Tom moving into the house from The Dudette Next Door, only for it to be revealed that there's a plane runway right next to the house. It's poking fun at Edd's old drawings by retconning his original drawing of a long, flat road in the middle of nowhere into a runway. It's genius and somewhat charming.

Overall, The End is the perfect conclusion to the Eddsworld Legacy, and even the show as a whole, had they decided to end it here permanently. I still re-watch it and have nothing but fondness for it. I used to buy into the complaint that it focuses on Tom too much, but now I disagree. The Tom scenes just seem more prominent because he has the opening montage in part 2 and the pivotal role in defeating Tord with the harpoon. Besides that, the conflict between Tom and Tord is the real meat of the story. I praised the decision to bring Tord back, and it seems interesting to explore the conflict between them in real-life with their alter egos. Eddsworld was always in need of some depth, and I'll never complain about them adding more with each episode.

Sorry for giving such a huge review on a 4 year old cartoon and focusing on other people's complaints in the last paragraph. It just kinda happened because I had a lot to say on this.

Damn, this is insanely smooth. The style is super sweet too. Even if it's unfinished, the upbeat art paired with the song puts a huge smile on my face. Keep it up, man. :)

I really love this. I think my favourite part is how it has all this energy because it's telling a feature-length story in less than 3 minutes, yet it never slips into being too obnoxious. Sounds like a backhanded compliment, but it's actually quite an achievement to balance out the energy with the charm.

also these backgrounds are just straight up gorgeous

This was pretty alright, the main problem with it that really stood out is PhantomArcade was way too over the top and it wasn't really necessary. Even in scene where he wasn't supposed to be over the top, it really would've been better if he'd dialed it back a little bit. Cory was on the other end of the spectrum, he was intentionally casual and it even sounds like you added in outtakes to nail the point home. It works.

Wait I favourited this like a year ago and only just noticed; was that the fucking FAMILY GUY HOUSE?
That detail alone gets you full points jesus christ.

At first I was worried this was gonna be one of those bullshit animations where the whole point is it looks bad and that's the joke. Thankfully it wasn't.
It's alrighttttt I guess. The sonic model looks creepy enough without going too tryhard and I think on a whole you did good making it creepy as fuck. Just felt like it's too long, could've been summarized a bit with some parts being shortened or have them overlap instead of one drawn out "scene" drag on after the other.
