shame that the new cuphead show, which looks great visually, just seems like more "2 annoying and stupid main characters do wacky things" bullshit with nothing special about it apart from its connection to the game
Cuphead had such an appealing character design and it sucks ass to find out he has the personality of an annoying kid.

While I did like it and all, I did wish the show would have Cuphead and Mugman do some ass kicking with powers. That would've really made it stand out. It was like throwing some DBZ vibes into a 30s rubber hose animation. It's obviously gonna get season 2 with that cliffhanger ending so hopefully there is gonna be some action then.
It probably has to do with the demographic. Gotta rake in the money!
Yeaahh that's probably a huge contributing factor to my main issue with it (the familiarity). It's a formula that works with kids so it's no wonder they're playing it so safe.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a kid's game. It's a common misconception that if it's animated then it's automatically geared towards children, but Cuphead is just using the old style for a unique aesthetic rather than to appeal to a younger audience.
Plus it's ridiculously hard haha.
